Welcome!

I've been meaning to get a personal blog up and running for a while now, and it just took one long training camp with a lot of down time to get me motivated. So anyways, welcome to my blog! I hope to post updates from training, camps, races, and just life in general.

I also post content to my Craftsbury Green Racing Project Blog, I haven't decided yet whether I'll be doing the same content over there and on here, but chances are that the posts will be a little different. Make sure to check both pages, since my teammates post on the team blog as well and they usually have good adventures and stories to share.

So right now I'm wrapping up the final days of a 3 week training camp in Ramsau, Austria. Why Austria? We have access here to high-altitude on snow training on the Dachstein Glacier, which rises above the town of Ramsau. The training has been really high-quality so far, with just enough bluebird days to get me really excited about ski season. So, while the energy after 3 weeks of tough high-altitude training is a little low, overall life is good! Can't wait to get back to the States, take a little down time, and really let the training sink in. Here are a few shots from the trip, and I'll try to do a more complete post soon with the oodles of mountain pictures I took during the trip.

Here's the rented guesthouse where we're staying. Feels a bit like (Vermont) home with the cows in the field

The glacier during one of our first ski days. The trails were a bit dirty when we first got here, but since then some new snow has blanketed everything in a clean layer

This place is breathtakingly beautiful. I feel so lucky to have the chance to train here.

Riding the tram up to the Dachstein, and gaining over 2,000 ft in elevation in one short 5 minute ride. And, bonus, you can ride on top too!
